HOMECOMING vol. 2
HOMECOMING vol. 2 is a continuation from vol. 1 where I continue to explore my home country with an outsider’s perspective. Having grown up abroad, I’ve never spent much time in Taiwan until moving back in 2020. Since then, I have been experiencing my home country with new eyes. In this volume, I chose to showcase the more traditional side of Taiwan - local markets, old neighborhoods, temple festivals/parades. I chose this theme because it was what drew me to pick up the camera here in the first place. There are still so many parts of Taiwan (Taipei specifically featured in this zine) that seems to be frozen in time - a total contrast to the busy city life of Taipei. Life in these parts are slower paced, but yet they are filled with so much energy. I hope that with this zine, you as readers will have a better understanding of what life and culture is like in Taiwan.
